On April 23, Tosoh Corporation announced that due to supply instability in oil-producing countries caused by the worsening situation in the Middle East, as well as the continued depreciation of the yen, raw material costs for MDI products have risen sharply. The cost increase has exceeded the range that can be absorbed, forcing Tosoh to adjust MDI prices. If raw material and energy costs fluctuate significantly, the company may retain the right to adjust prices again.

Tosoh plans to raise prices for its MDI series products by 80 JPY/kg or more, effective May 1, 2026.
