Shanghai, China — PUdaily is pleased to announce that Zeng Xiangqiong , Professor at the University of Shanghai for Science and Technology, will be a featured speaker at the 8th Polyurethane Technology International Forum (PTIF 2026), to be held from June 22–27, 2026, in Shanghai.

Professor Zeng is a doctoral supervisor and researcher in functional interface materials and specialty chemicals, with nearly two decades of experience based on colloid and interface science. Her research has focused on skin tribology materials, lubrication materials, and corrosion protection materials. Over the course of her career, she has led more than 20 research projects supported by the EU Marie Curie program, the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Shanghai Natural Science Foundation, Henkel, and Beiersdorf, and has published more than 100 SCI papers in addition to securing international and Chinese patents. 

 

At the forum, Professor Zeng will deliver a presentation titled “Construction of PU-Based Biomimetic Skin and Its Applications in Tactile Perception and Skin-Contact Product Development.” Her session will focus on the construction of polyurethane-based biomimetic skin that simulates the mechanical characteristics of human skin, as well as polyurethane-based electronic skin designed for tactile perception. The presentation will also explore applications in wound dressings, medical devices, cosmetics, flexible wearable devices, and tactile sensing technologies.
