Chinese polyether polyols imports in 2024 are expected to decrease by nearly 10% compared to the previous year, while exports are projected to increase by around 15-20%, according to the latest data on other polyether polyols in primary forms disclosed by China’s General Administration of Customs.

In November 2024, China’s imports of other polyether polyols in primary forms totaled 20.59 kT, representing a year-on-year decrease of 47.7% and a month-on-month decline of 16.2%.
In January-November 2024, China’s imports of other polyether polyols in primary forms amounted to 325.44 kT. The top three import sources were Saudi Arabia (81.69 kT), Singapore (78.16 kT) and Thailand (42.34 kT).

In November 2024, China’s exports of other polyether polyols in primary forms totaled 176.9 kT, reflecting a 12.5% year-on-year increase but an 8.1% month-on-month decrease.
In January-November 2024, China’s exports of other polyether polyols in primary forms amounted to 1,959.61 kT. The top three export destinations were Turkey (196.48 kT), Vietnam (147.47 kT) and India (141.32 kT).
