Covestro (India) Private Limited has announced the opening of a production facility at its Ankleshwar site in Gujarat, India. The facility, the first of its kind in India, strengthens local manufacturing capabilities and advances India’s standing as a global manufacturing powerhouse. It is also evidence of Covestro India’s dedication to the “Make in India” campaign. It will produce a wide range of Desmodur® ultra trimer products, which are utilised in consumer electronics, construction, automotive, and wooden furniture, among other industries.

The company hopes to satisfy the Asia Pacific region’s expanding need for high-performance and environmentally friendly solutions in the coatings and adhesives sector. Production of the first batch of Desmodur® ultra trimer products is scheduled for Q4 of 2024. The manufacturing of coatings and adhesives that provide remarkable durability and resistance to environmental elements including UV light, solvents, and physical wear requires the use of Desmodur® ultra trimer products.
