Brazil Made a Preliminary Determination of Anti-dumping Against Polyols From China

On July 30, 2024, the Secretariat of Foreign Trade of the Ministry of Development, Industry, Trade, and Services of Brazil (Ministério do Desenvolvimento, Indústria, Comércio e Serviços/Secretaria de Comércio Exterior) issued Notice No. 37/2024, making a preliminary affirmative determination of anti-dumping against polyether polyols originating from China, with a molecular weight ranging from 300 to 4,500 g/mol and a purity of not less than 90%, including blends with a minimum concentration of 90% or more of the polyether polyols covered. However, provisional anti-dumping taxes are not yet imposed. The MERCOSUR tariff code for the products involved is 3907.29.39. The notice takes effect from the date of its issuance. The final determination is expected to be made by November 5, 2024.
