Grafenberg, Germany – The new Rampf Advanced Polymers business has officially launched. As of 1 July, the new company combines its Eco Solutions, Polymer Solutions and Tooling Solutions businesses. The Polymer Solutions business was renamed Rampf Advanced Polymers at the beginning of April as a prelude to the wider restructuring.
The new company develops and manufactures reactive resin systems based on polyurethane, epoxy, silicone and silane-modified polymers. The portfolio includes sealing systems, casting resins, adhesives, and both board and liquid materials for model and mould engineering. It also offers chemical technology for the manufacture of recycled polyols from PU, PIR and PET waste.
It has manufacturing operations in Germany, the US and China. R&D activities are now coordinated and managed centrally, with its chemical expertise pooled across departments and countries. The companies believes the resulting synergies will accelerate the development of new products, and the improvement of existing ones.
