PUdaily | Updated: May 15, 2024

Race Ramps, a division of Motis Brands, has announced its decision to relocate its operations from Southern California to Escanaba, located in northwest Michigan. In addition to expanding its Escanaba facility, the company intends to establish a specialized manufacturing center of excellence.

The upgraded capacity at the facility will utilize advanced polyurethane materials to fabricate hoses and cords designed to safeguard equipment during liquid and electrical transportation. All materials utilized in production will be domestically sourced.

The total investment in the site is projected to reach $675,000, with a $75,000 grant secured from the state. The Delta County Economic Development Alliance is providing further support through a property tax abatement. This expansion is expected to generate nine new jobs, supplementing the existing 25-member workforce at the site.

"We at Motis Brands are immensely proud of the operations at our Escanaba facility," stated Kurt Kappeler, CFO of Motis Brands. "The Race Ramps brand products manufactured there are renowned globally for their premium quality in automobile display, storage, and transport."
