German adhesives specialist Bostik has announced plans to close down its domestic branch in Schwepnitz by the end of 2025.
While the Arkema subsidiary did not provide information on how many employees have been affected by the closure, it said production will gradually be shifted to other sites. According to Bostik, polyurethane foam will move to Buftea, Romania, and its silicone activities will be transferred to its German site in Borgholzhausen, which the company plans to expand for this purpose, and to Oosterhout in the Netherlands.
