Revolutionizing New Energy Vehicle Batteries: The Future Unveiled at Our Summit!

PUdaily | Updated: October 31, 2023

Summit Background

The development trend of new energy vehicle battery technology mainly includes energy density improvement, charging speed acceleration, life extension and cost reduction. With the continuous development of material science and chemical engineering, new materials and structural design will further improve the energy density of lithium-ion batteries, accelerate charging speed, and extend battery life, we believe that new energy vehicle power battery technology will usher in greater breakthroughs and development, bringing more opportunities and challenges to the new energy vehicle industry.

  • Energy density: New energy vehicles require high energy density batteries to extend their driving range. However, increased energy density tends to generate more heat during charging and discharging, so innovative cooling solutions are needed to dissipate heat without compromising safety or efficiency.
  • Fast charging: As NEVs move towards faster charging speeds, managing the heat generated during fast charging becomes critical. Ensuring that batteries can withstand rapid charging without overheating or degrading is a major challenge.
  • Battery safety: Preventing thermal runaway events, such as fire or explosion, is critical. The development of materials and systems that can improve battery safety under high voltage conditions is an ongoing concern.
  • Cost-effectiveness: Implementing efficient thermal management systems while reducing costs is an ongoing challenge. Affordable solutions make it easier for a wider range of consumers to accept new energy vehicles.
  • Space limitation: There is limited space for battery packs inside new energy vehicles. Designing thermal management systems to maximize efficiency while considering space constraints is a complex issue.
  • Extending life: Extending the life of NEV batteries is critical to reducing the total cost of ownership. Over time, thermal management strategies to reduce battery degradation will be in greater demand.

Under this context, Caihui Technology, Falcon Consulting, Suntower Consulting, Shanghai Bonding Technology Association, and new energy vehicles & battery upstream and downstream industry chain will jointly organize “The 3rd China New Energy Vehicle Battery Module and PACK Material and Process Innovation Summit 2024” on March 20th-22nd in Shanghai, China. The conference will focus on "Battery thermal management and thermal safety", "Battery adhesives" and “Battery lightweight“ and invite new energy vehicle enterprises, battery factories, system integrators, adhesive enterprises, flame retardant and fire prevention and thermal insulation materials enterprises, plastic/composite materials enterprises, equipment manufacturers, universities and research institutes, testing institutions and other industry leaders to attend the meeting. Through a variety of forms such as keynote speeches, question exchanges, and product demonstrations etc, the latest trends, new technologies, new processes, solutions, and classic cases of new energy vehicle battery modules and PACK will be discussed.
