The Business Leaders Roundtable

The CEO Roundtable will extend invitations to 50 business leaders within the polyurethane industry for a collective discourse on the challenges and opportunities arising from the sustainable development of polyurethane. Discussions will encompass legal and regulatory frameworks concerning carbon reduction and the circular economy, industry certifications (including TFS in the chemical sector, ecobadis, ISCC quality balance, carbon labeling, etc.), and the multifaceted challenges confronting the polyurethane sector. The event aims to collectively explore innovative resolutions, exchange scholarly insights, disseminate best practices, and articulate strategic perspectives. This collaborative endeavor seeks to broaden the intellectual horizons of participants, enabling them to adeptly navigate opportunities and collectively contribute to shaping a promising future for the polyurethane industry.

Invitation

The Polyurethane Technology International Forum (PTIF) is an international conference aimed at promoting sustainable development and technological advancement of global polyurethane industry. Co-sponsored by Shanghai Polyurethane Industry Association, University of Shanghai for Science and Technology and Suntower, the forum brought together industry leaders, scientists and entrepreneurs from more than 30 countries and regions to discuss the latest research results, technological breakthroughs and market trends in the field of polyurethanes.
Themed "green, energy efficiency and sustainability", the 2025 PTIF focuses on the application of PU materials in new energy vehicle, bio-based polyurethane, polyurethane composites, photovoltaics, wind power, rail transit, electric power, medical, LNG and aerospace sectors, and promoting the sustainable development of the PU industry through innovative technologies. The topics of the forum include, but are not limited to, polyurethane markets, policies, laws and regulations, industry standards, sustainability, reducing dependence on petrochemicals, green and energy-efficient building solutions, and applications of cutting-edge polyurethane technologies, processes, specialty materials, functional additives and advanced equipment. During the forum, a CEO panel discussion, a buyers delegation meeting and an exhibition on commercialization of universities’ scientific and technological achievements will be held to promote international cooperation and commercialization of scientific and technological achievements.
As a platform that facilitates academic exchanges and promotes international cooperation and growth of the global PU industry, PTIF provides participants with an opportunity to interact with the most influential professionals in the polyurethane industry and creates a blueprint for the future of the industry.

About the Forum

Jointly organized by Suntower Consulting Limited, the Shanghai Polyurethane Industry Association and the University of Shanghai for Science and Technology, the Polyurethane Technology International Forum was held in Shanghai from September to ,attracting enthusiastic participation from numerous experts, scholars, and entrepreneurs within the PU industry. Throughout the event, over highly anticipated keynote presentations were delivered, along with three thought-provoking panel discussions.
The forum centered on discussions regarding the sustainable development and circular economy of polyurethane, while also focusing on the latest applications of polyurethane in areas such as smart furniture, new energy vehicles, cold chain logistics, G, aerospace, biomedicine, and eco-friendly foaming agents. The forum witnessed the participation of representatives from renowned polyurethane industry upstream and downstream enterprises, research institutions, investment and securities sectors, as well as relevant industry associations from around the world. Together, they shared insights and exchanged experiences, contributing their wisdom to the industry's development.
This three-day event concluded on a high note, providing a fresh impetus to the innovation and advancement of the polyurethane industry.

Established on July, by registering at Shanghai Municipal Administration of Social Organizations, Shanghai Polyurethane Industry Association is in the charge of Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization. With more than members from across the PU value chain, the association is a voluntary non-profit organization comprised of PU-related enterprises, scientific research institutes,universities and colleges.
Located in Shanghai, the University of Shanghai for Science and Technology (USST) is an application-oriented research university focusing on engineering while emphasizing the coordinated development of multiple disciplines including engineering, science, economics, management, literature, law and art. Originated from the University of Shanghai founded in and Deutsche Medizinschule in, USST was established in through the merger of East China University of Technology (formerly Shanghai Institute of Mechanical Engineering) and Shanghai Institute of Mechanical Technology.
