North America Polyurethanes Growth Nearly 4%, Says CPI

Polyurethanes production in North America grew at an average annual rate of 3.9% during 2017–18, reaching over 9 billion lbs (4 million metric tons), according to the Center for Polyurethanes Industry (CPI), part of the American Chemistry Council. Polyurethane production in the US increased in all major product segments during the period, with the most significant growth in the thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) market, says CPI, which today released the “2018 End-Use Market Survey on the Polyurethanes Industry in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.”
