Kumho Mitsui Chemicals: Notification of MDI Decline
2018-02-05    [Source:Kumho Mitsui Chemicals]

Dear Valued Customer,

We regret to inform you that we have encountered a serious problem in producing MDI (Methylene Diphenyl Diisocyanata). Due to a facility problem of raw material supplier in Yeosu (South Korea), Kumho Mitsui Chemicals is hit by a shortage of key feedstock. The insufficiency of raw material on our production unit is causing a significant reduction in supply of capabilities and our plant in Yeosu will be run at the minimum rate of capacity. The current situation will be continued until the end of February 2018, with our expectation.

We sincerely apologize to you for the decrease in supply and all the inconvenience or interruption we have made. We are trying our best to minimize disruptions to our customers. We will keep you informed of our situation as it develops. If you should have any immediate questions or concerns regarding this issue, please contact us.

Thank you for your understanding and patience as we work to manage the current situation.

Best regards,
