Dear Valued Customers,

We regret to inform you that we have encountered a serious problem in producing MDI (methyl diphenyl diisocyanate). Due to an unexpected accident at GS Caltex’s heavy oils refining unit in Yeosu (South Korea), Kumho Mitsui Chemicals is hit by a shortage of raw material Carbon Monoxide (CO). The insufficiency of CO on our production units is causing a significant reduction in supply capabilities and our plant in Yeosu will be run at the minimum rate of capacity. The current situation will be continued until March, 2018 with our expectation.

We sincerely apologize to you for the decrease in supply and all the inconvenience or interruption we have made. We are trying our best to minimize disruptions to our customers. We will keep you informed of our situation as it develops. If you should have any immedi ate questions or concerns regarding this issue, please contact us.

Thank you for your understanding and patience as we work to manage the current situation.
