ALFA Klebstoffe AG sets a course for a future full of success - A new generation of leader

Rafz, Switzerland on June 1, 2025 – ALFA Klebstoffe AG, primarily known around the world for the SIMALFA® brand, is expanding the company’s management team—a move which will ensure that the firm continues to resolutely forge ahead on its innovative course and expand on a global scale in a consistent way. With the appointment of Andri Simmler as Co-CSO, Reto Bisang as CFO and Florian Mack as CIO/CDO, these three new additions to the management team are bringing fresh ideas and ambitious goals to the family-run Swiss company.

Being the third generation of the founding family to take positions on the management level, Andri Simmler and Christian Bänninger (COO) are now poised to forge ahead with the visions of company founder Emil Simmler to create environmentally friendly, innovative adhesives. “The future belongs to companies which actively shape innovation and set standards. Our expanded management team boasts precisely the expertise and dynamic needed to continue positioning SIMALFA® as a benchmark for sustainable adhesive solutions on the international level,” stressed CEO Thomas Simmler.

The new additions aren’t the only change taking place at the company, as Maya Bänninger is also entering her well-deserved retirement after an impressive 40 years with the firm. This achievement was fittingly celebrated with a large bash with all the company’s employees.

The newly expanded management team will now be comprised of Thomas Simmler (CEO), Christian Bänninger (COO), Andri Simmler (Co-CSO), Reto Bisang (CFO), Florian Mack (CIO/CDO) and Jochen Schanbacher (Managing Director Asia-Pacific). Together, they will pursue ambitious goals and continue to successfully position the pioneering family-run company with a spirit of innovation and sustainable solutions across the globe.
